Music oh music...Why doest thou torture me? and a HAPPY VALENTINES

After a couple of sleepless nights of writing music in the wee hours of the night I have come to the conclusion that I need a studio in my house. So many ideas and instruments keep playing in my head and my producer lives so far away :( whatever shall I do. My phone memory is over. Is this the life I am forced to live? All songwriters NEED a home studio. I had better start saving up.

In other news I am so excited that Adele Adkins won six Grammy Awards. How cool is that. She is such an inspiration plus I love her lyrics, they relate so much to me (and a bunch of other people in our universe :) )
YOU GET US ADELE!!!! I can't wait to take my musical journey further. When will I be the one with the Grammy? Hopefully I will be deserving of it. It would be nice to be the first Kenyan EVER to get nominated for a Grammy Award or maybe even receive one :)...Prayers people. I believe in prayer and faith and of course hard work
GIGS? Thinking of starting my own thing where I can be the main event. Small, intimate and very cheap to start...it's a work in progress. *Fingers crossed*.

Mad love to all my supporters this valentines. Love is all we need. Check out this you tube video of me at Kinanda fest singing a brand new song.

Love Sage :-*.

CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME :)

My cool little sister organized an event at our home to raise money for Nyumba ya wazee last Saturday and it went fantastic. There was cool music by my friend Dan and Steven Urban and their respective bands and yours truly. I'm glad that at the beginning of the year when there is a shortage of money in peoples pockets from Christmas, some of our close friend were able to attend and to donate some money and listen to some cool music. For those who might be reading this and wondering what Nyumba ya wazee is and what its all about...it is a great place set up by nuns to take care of the elderly poor who can't afford nursing homes..They are the sweetest old people you will ever meet. If you have time go there..it is in Kasarani just opposite Safari Park Hotel and they will highly appreciate that. For a home that runs on only donations, it sure gives the wazee a good place to call home.

Recap on Blankets and wine performance

It was one of my best performances yet... I'm happy to say that I have improved in my performance execution. Although I still need lots of work, I am very proud of my team for giving an exceptional performance last Sunday. I finally got to play my guitar in front of people and it was pretty awesome and motivating.

For all those people out there who think that they can't, take it from me...YOU CAN...whatever it is you wanna do, you can do it.If I can learn how to play the guitar on my own and write two good songs on it...within one month of actually holding a guitar...you can do whatever you like.
Album had been put on hold for a while, but now we are ready to get back to that...I am so excited and I feel like this album will be one worth the listening. It is gonna be full of raw emotion and some advice that people sometimes don't just give you.
Just the other week I finished writing my second guitar song titled " Girl with the blue dress" I totally love the song because it reminds me of how much life as a young girl was more simple and my dreams felt unstoppable and it just reminds me to keep that young girl mentality and mindset...I can hardly wait to have it recorded for you all to listen to.
God bless you this festive season.
Love always,
Sage
